Shouldn't be hard to have the Competition Bureau to get them on false and misleading advertising, and a class action suit for fun and games would pay the users well. They can't do 6 months notice without legal repercussions.
    Competition Bureau?

Based on an analysis of information collected during this inquiry, the Competition Bureau (Bureau) concluded that as a result of coordinated behaviour among Bell, TELUS and Rogers, mobile wireless prices in Canada are higher in regions where Bell, TELUS and Rogers do not face competition from a strong regional competitor. Conversely, the Bureau concluded that where Bell, TELUS and Rogers face competition from a strong regional competitor, prices are substantially lower. The Bureau concluded that the lower prices are caused by the presence of a strong regional competitor who can disrupt the effects of coordination among Bell, TELUS and Rogers.
Here you have the Competition Bureau publicly accusing Bell, Rogers and Telus of coordination to keep prices high. You could barely be more overt in calling them out for price fixing. And what did our Competition Bureau do, the office responsible for enforcing laws against anti-trust, anti-comptetitive or collusive behaviour, upon issuing this statement clearly acknowledging the above activity within the cartel? They did nothing. Absolutely nothing.

If they are are willing to acknowledge and then ignore such blatant, industry wide activity that affects every single wireless customers, how much to you think they are going to do about one of their flanker brands being a little douchey to a relatively tiny group of customers?

@ceredon that same competition bureau called out the Canadian grocers for price fixing bread over a 16 year span
Loblaws mailed out a $25 gift card and called it a day (nevermind the avg consumer would have suffered far more in damages, and investors even more as well)

    Nothing will happen to Public
When Telus killed off the old Public the competition bureaus remedy was force Telus to honour pricing for 1 year before price increases allowed
When Chatr killed off Mobilicity for life plans a few people complained and got a couple months of free service
    Koodo $40 Canada Wide + 8GB + 1000 Intl LD
    Public $120 Province Wide + 12GB - $6 Autopay - $12 Loyalty - $45 Refer = $19 per Month
    Freedom $35 ($37-BTS) North America Wide + 8GB + 1GB Roaming

Did the CB even call them out until after Loblaws came out about it first?

^ I absolutely see no use of the Competition Bureau. The Government should just get rid of them and save millions of tax payers Dollars. They are useless

The CRTC regulations and complaints process thru CCTS regarding the telecos is already in existence. That's why the CB won't do anything about them. You're comparing apples and oranges when you reference Loblaws. The CB has to justify it's existence and this was the only accomplishment...if you can call it that.

It is reasonable to assume that PM is going to disappear or take on a different form. Telus/Koodo is resorting to some questionable tactics too in how they've been trying to get people to migrate to Koodo. The latest BS regarding the $100 referral is insulting imo.

PM Bieber does not see wireless as a priority. Heck, there’s a good chance he can’t even spell Telus. Or Bell.
