Does your iPhone 6s show LTE but never LTE+ with TELUS??

Hi, I recently ported my number from fido to TELUS for the promotional offer $60/mo UlNW 10GB plan but I noticed my iPhone 6s 64 never showed me LTE+ while my friend who has Samsung S8 and his phone shows LTE+ and he is on the same plan and provider as mine (TELUS). So I was wondering if your iPhone 6s ever showed LTE+ or only LTE and why Samsung S8 shows LTE+??? Does the Samsung S8 have a certain band or feature that the iPhone 6s 64 does not have ???

Please share your input ...happy new year to everyone.

    Thanks

The thing is I want to know what would it show as using TELUS network and the iPhone x . I am trying to isolate if it's my iPhone 6s is the problem or there is a special APN settings for LTE+ with TELUS

You would have to go into field test mode to see what bands your iPhone is aggregating. Even there, it might not show you much. As Aceclutch said, iPhones don’t display “LTE +” even though they would perform at “+” speeds.

Agreed with the above. Only Samsung and some Android manufacturers will display LTE+ to indicate SCC is added and total bandwidth is greater than 20 MHz.

Correct. There’s nothing wrong with your iPhone.
