    Arrow New options - Flexiroam

Never heard of these guys but just ordered 2x 1GB starter packs for me and my partner.

Their pricing is more then 3x cheaper than Know Roaming, which was a favorite of mine because the credit doesn't expire.

The pricing is very close to Keepgo for the PAYG and the validity is 1 year.
The Specific country pricing with flexiroam is very good though.
I like keepgo because for $19US you can keep bumping your Expiry a year, and with the amount we travel. We will always have tons of data.

If you keep hitting the 1GB refill. your data depending on the exchange is 4-5 cents/MB.

BTW Know Roaming's credit now does expire - After 9 months. Really not a good option anymore and don't like their insane pricing. They have no 30 day plans for a good reason. Their 7 day play is already $85 CAD after taxes in (PS: KnowRoaming bills in USD), so a month would cost you $240 CAD.

Yeah since Canadians already pay the highest price for Data in the known universe, going with any landed sim is going to be so light on your wallet, there is no point in getting a roaming SIM these days.

I ended up getting a eSim through Flexiroam to try it out, On my Google bought Pixel3 xL and was able to get a 15 day 1GB Package for $3.30 USD. ( I booked it 90 days in advance ) Pretty good!

I am still using Knowroaming and today ordered another SIM for my wife's phone. It realli snot a good option for most, except those who travel a lot. But in my case, I use my phone just as emergency phone (Both in Canada and USA). Mostly I have wifi available, so very seldom need to make calls or text.

My wife will probably use her's more for calls. The Callback "feature" is not user friendly. So she will have to make direct calls. Cost is crazy. US53c/min which is about C71c/min.

Data is US15c/MB. So thinking that using Hangouts or similar might be less expensive. But, I have to keep things simple. Can't see her turning data on/off each time she makes a call. So what do those who use a data only plan do to stop background use of data? This is an Android 6.0 phone (Motorola 2e)

Do you guys prefer Flexiroam data sticker, actual sim card or esim(limited phone support)?

I used the eSim because i had a Google bought pixel 3 xl. And now that I know the eSim works. I've found another service to try.Airalo.com looks even cheaper. And I will try it on my next trip. Nothing to lose thanks to Pixel 3 We found the carrier bought Pixel 3 had the eSim disabled due to the dumb carriers. No more carrier bought phones for me.
