    New Unlocked BlackBerry Leap on eBay $130(USD)/$178(CAD)

    I've always had a bit of a soft spot for the Leap, it really was a very decent second device if you were willing to over look a few annoyances. But in typical BB fashion they over-priced and under-marketed it almost as if they built it just to fulfill a manufacturing obligation or such, even when they had the device on sale the savings weren't big enough for many to jump at the chance. Who knows but the poor thing got lost at the back of the Shop BlackBerry store as carriers dropped it en-masse and BB filtered the remaining inventory through their Amazon store.

    I was sent this link from eBay a few days ago and if you are in the market for a cheap, reliable and well made device I would recommend the Leap especially at this price. This is the best price I've ever seen for a new, boxed, factory unlocked Leap and have grabbed a couple for family members.

    I mentioned annoyances earlier, and they really are annoyances rather than red flags:

    No NFC: My Passport is tagged to my car, wireless headphones and my home audio system. Not a biggie really as Bluetooth connects reasonably quickly without it but it feels like a weird thing to have omitted;

    No Magnet lock: Just something I've got used to with other BB devices with sleeves, holsters and such;

    No Compass: At least I can't find the compass app on the Leap. One of my most well used and favoured apps, Startracker, still seems to work properly despite the apparent lack of an internal compass. App description says it won't work on a Z3 due to there being no compass *shrugs*

    That's it really. It's a good price for what I consider to be an under rated device.
