Its about time, but I would love to see Telus drop its $2 extra that they charge people off the daily rate.

Lastly, I hope that all of us on the QC/MB Plans can use this option as carriers have been seen in the past to limit these options to newer plans only.

Telus US Roaming is $20 more than Rogers / Fido US Roaming which is priced the best.

Bell / Virgin US Roaming is nonsense despite being dedicated, meaning it does not come out of your plan bucket but in the end it costs more for the user to ROAM with Bell / Virgin in US and overseas.

Nice! Would also like to see WiFi calling as well. Miss it from when I was with Robbers as I need it in my locale. That being said Koodo is a little better for reception than the aforementioned.

Awesome. Hopefully it includes worldwide destinations and not just the US

Looks like Koodo wants some of that roaming revenue that they are losing out on. It remains to be seen if it is $7/day capped at $100 or $5/day capped at $50.

While this would be nice to see, the 30 day add-on is $75, although with a 750 meg limit. So, the 'Easy Roam', even at $5 per day, that's $70 for 14 days, plus your normal phone bill.

Getting a prepaid sim is way cheaper than that, even in CDN dollars. I'd rather spend my money on having fun, not my cell bill.
    Un-Rogered, and getting better 'value'.

If they're better rates than the current options, it'll be good.

Rogers' system is $50 + your normal bill. You have to pay that normal bill regardless. Now $50 CDN is about $38 USD. Considering a T-Mobile SIM is $10 USD you have $28 USD to buy the GBs you have on your Rogers plan.

Or you could get 1GB with $15 addon from freedom mobile.

    Telus plan is a ripoff.

Which is why I said a US prepaid sim is way cheaper.

Last time, I was down for 10 days, and the $40 10 day was fine. At 14 days, it's $75 for the 30 day add-on. Nope, won't happen.

Many folks would be happy with $20 to $25 to last them a month or more. Tracfone does not charge long distance for calls to Canada... but you have to download their international dialer application. The downside of using a US SIM for casual roaming is that your Canadian home phone number will not ring thru but just fall into voicemail.

If you spend a fair amount of time on either side of the border, get yourself a VoIP number to advertise as your principal contact and have those calls forwarded to both your cell numbers. For an extra $3 a month or so, you can rent a local number in each of your regular haunts so that local contacts wont have to spring for long distance if that's an issue.

With a VoIP app on your phone, you can also call from anywhere that wifi is available.

Heck, their public mobile US roaming is half the price for the same plan.

To me this type of plan is meant more for a quick one day trip to the US making it very useful any more than that as others have said get a local sim

The problem a I have with Public Mobile travel packs is that on all of the three most recent occasions I have purchased a one of their travel pack once it ends I can neither send nor receive text messages and I have to request they fix the problem through the forum page.
