Franklin Wireless R850 secret menu - Let the hacking begin

For those with the Franklin Wireless R850, there are secret menus to enable SSH, Tethering, Band priority, etc.

To get to those menus, try the URLs below while connected to your R850.

URL blocked... You are not allowed to post any kinds of links, images or videos until you post a few times.
    I'll try again later

Please be careful. An incorrect setting may brick your device. Also, you may want to consider disabling auto firmware update in case Sprint release a new firmware to remove these secret menus.

Sorry for the spam. I thought it was ok to post internal device URL to the setup page.

    Don't own a R850, however I do have some U770 devices. So:

(internal http address)/hidden is the sweet spot?

    Yes on the R850 anyways.

I tested bands 25,26, & 41 here one at a time. Ended up disabling bands 26 & 41. Good for now, time will tell.

I have a R850 but haven't used it in awhile. Is there away to see which band your connected to in the settings? I remember I tried digging around once but couldn't find anything.

    1. Log into your hotspot
    2. http://myhotspot or http://192.168.128.1 (if you did not change local ip address of the hotspot)
    3. Login with the default password for admin which is password
    4. Click on About button from the tabs on top of the screen
    5. At the bottom you will see Debug button
    6. When you hit that , the dialog box has lot of info including at somewhere bottom part of the left hand side data
    7. You should see whether it is band 25, 26 or 41

Or you could test them 1 at a time. To see which one(s) work best for you rather than which one(s) you're on.

I am interested in tethering, I have a Cradlepoint MBR95 and would like to tether it to my R850. I have more than 10 devices to connect and feel it may work better to let the R850 handle the LTE internet connection and let the MBR95 route the WIFI traffic. I didn't see an option for USB tethering under myhotspot/hidden. Any thoughts?

Edit: I see from this thread:
    http://www.dslreports.com/forum/r313...klin-r850-hack
one person had little success using tethering, also that it is listed under "Debug". Anyone here have any success tethering?

Yes & slowdowns. My band testing & band exclusions fixed all that.

    Franklin R850 internal Antenna Location

is there a link out there anywhere that shows where to connect or how an external Antenna to the R850? Mobilebeacon will not allow Us to purchase our own hotspot and they no longer offer any that do.
