fee for changing to the new unlimited plan??

hello to all i just posted on the AT&T site since i am a customer .... maybe i can get help on this side

I just informed my sister about the new plan since she is a Verizon customer and she immediately called . Verizon wants to charge her 60.00 to move her over to the new plan 30.00 each phone she has 2... I never heard of such a fee when changing plans... could she be confused or did they give her bad information thanks to all...::

even when i was a Verizon customer a few years back i did not recall such a fee being imposed .. i was thinking of porting back but this could hamper the move and possibly hold out until At&T counters

    thanks to all

There shouldn't be any fees as far as changing plans. Perhaps she is upgrading phones as well? Or perhaps they are trying to make the switch in the middle of the cycle or backdate it and these are prorated charges of some sort?

that sounds correct i kind of figured i advised her to go online and try changing from there. The online account should clarify any charges at the summary page before submitting

I wouldn't bother calling, they might try to sell her something she doesn't need. Just do it online.
