    Freedom's 5GB $35 @ Fido 5GB for $50.

As posted here and on Redflag deals - this exists and is an easy switch. Waiting online takes forever as I was able to get on via phone first.

This is a great deal consider Freedoms goes up to $45 after 10 months and has a weaker network + their LTE only works with select phones.

It'd a BYOD plan - but is definitely more bang for buck than the previous awesome 4GB $40 plan. For an extra $10 - Canada wide (40 was provincial ) which is supposed to cost $10 and 1GB. You do lose the 1000minutes to random foreign countries but I never called those anyway.
I'm not telling you anything that you can't just google for yourself

The Freedom $45 LTE plan only has 3GB data
The promo price and promo data drop off
    So Fido looks alot better

I think their promotion has extend to $35 for 6GB which becomes $45 after 10 months - at least in BC

Did you get the plan right away or did you have to wait until the end of your billing cycle for the plan change?
The rep I spoke to yesterday said that I had to wait for the end of my billing cycle before it's actually changed over.

Did you also manage to get the 10% additional line discount?

My cycles just started so they switched right away. All my lines were existing so no additional 10

I currently have a Samsung Galaxy S7 that I got from Freedom.
Will I be able to bring it over to Fido and use it with this plan?

From my understanding, this is a loyalty plan so I don't think you can get it as a new customer.
On the phone-side, best to check Wind's GS7 radio bands. My assumption is it'll probably work -- just have to unlock it.

They said I had to wait until the end of my billing cycle. But I'm out of data on one of my two lines.

Just switched today. Have to wait until my next billing cycle. Saves me $15.00 over my current plan and now have unlimited calling. I won't miss the 1 gig, never used more than 2˝. I'm happy, thanks Fido

I have Fido 3 Gb LTE ($15) plan and a $20 Chatr plan in a 2 SIM set up (Zenfone 3). I pay $35 only and IMO I have a better deal

That's a great deal/setup but it's not for me. Too much work and limited to using dual-sim phones only.

    Too much work? Nah..
I assume you have the worst scenario - an iPhone.
Most people have wifi at home and office.
Get one of those cheap phone (cracked screen does not matter) with a $15 3Gb FIDO SIM generating a wifi hot spot in your car or purse or briefcase..
If you get also the $20 a month Chatr unlimited local call plan, you will have the same inexpensive set up (Unlimited call+ 3 Gb a month at $35 a month).
Mind you the Fido tablet plan does tethering with zero issue at all in another unlocked smart phone.

    I like my setup better
Worst case scenario I pay $63 per month (usually less)
But I get way more data (avg 4GB LTE then 6GB 3G then unlimited at 2G assuming I use more than 10GB in a month)
And I can call long distance without using crappy voip apps
    Koodo $40 Canada Wide + 8GB + 1000 Intl LD
    Public $120 Province Wide + 12GB - $6 Autopay - $12 Loyalty - $45 Refer = $19 per Month
    Freedom $35 ($37-BTS) North America Wide + 8GB + 1GB Roaming
