And I added my checking account as my autopay option, and do not see any discount on my bill estimate. I am waiting for a CSR to call me back at 6pm to help me.

Verizon reps are saying autopay must be on debit or ACH to get the discount but others are saying they see the discount on their next bill estimate even though they are on credit card autopay. We won't know for sure until someone actually gets a bill.

Only if you had 8gb or more, as advertised. I had 3 lines with 4gb on NVP and they would not budge...

Correct, but if you did, you didn't have to upgrade to get it, they were giving it to anyone who asked as long as they had 8GB or more. The system would not allow the 2GB bonus data for life code to apply to plans under 8GB or to a line with any device on it other than a smartphone.

May take 1-2 billing cycles for the autopay discount to appear but you an get it manually credited.

Also you must be signed up for paperless billing too to get the discount.

That's so strange since they said the 5GB was the limited time plan and the 7GB was permanent.

They said the 5GB plan was limited time, not the 7GB plan.

None of your lines are on contract then. Here are the port in deals, no deals for trading in an iPhone 5 but you could buy an iPhone 6 off of swappa to trade in if you wanted to take advantage of these deals and then sell the iPhone 5 on swappa.

If you are going to buy a phone to trade in off of swappa, make sure that the seller can verify the phone was paid off in full. Also it must be in good working and cosmetic condition.

Will Verizon add a meter for tethering data? Since there is a 10gb limit.

Verizon likes meters so I expect we will have a meter for each line (since it's per line) and another meter for tethering on each line and another meter to let you know how far you are from your credit card limit.

Years ago I was on satellite provider for about 3 years that kept detailed records to the minute of usage but never release a usage meter capable of showing it just a meter that showed a running total for the last 30 days.
When yahoo mail jumped to unlimited storage to compete with Gmail they removed their usage meter and made it difficult to find out how much you used.

At work we have att DSL since its a business line it has unlimited usage there is an area in the account that would display a usage meter but it doesn't work it just says you have unlimited usage! And won't tell you the usage unlike verizon who has had unlimited minutes and texts for years now and insists on telling you every month just how many you've used anyway just so you don't think oh I don't use that many minutes I could go back to that 700 minute plan if I wanted and verizon's all like you have used 5000 minutes and 7000 messages this month and you're like and then you remember you have unlimited talk and text and don't have to worry about that anymore . Wait what were we talking about again?

No brainer for me. I'm paying $79 a month after taxes and fees for the 5GB plan. The unlimited plan will cost me $89.

I must have missed that they were doing that. I'm still on the slightly older More Everything Plan with $15 GB and 4 lines that are at $15/month each so didn't really want to switch to the new Verizon plan as that would mean each line would go up $5/month. But if I could have gotten let's say the 8 GB new Verizon plan and 2 GB for each line to give me 16 GB total that might actually have been slightly cheaper even with line access fees being slightly higher (or perhaps could have gone with the 12 GB plan with 8 GB of data extra to get 20 GB total for about the same price).

I'm considering switching my family to this new plan, but I'm confused about the 22GB threshold. It is my understanding that if you use more than 22GB in a single month, then your internet speeds could potentially suffer as they prioritize other customer traffic over yours. Is the 22GB limit per line or per account? If it is per line, does only the line that exceeded the 22GB get slowed down, or is the entire family affected if one person goes over?
