We would all like the cheapest cell phone service.....

Many, maybe most of us on the MVNO forum are looking for the cheapest cell phone service. I have come to the conclusion that it is safer to go with the second cheapest. We have all seen many MVNO's come and go and most of them were very cheap. Now many of us are in need of replacing our Ringplus service. When we go with the cheapest, we will save some money, but we are also taking a risk. I can't even remember all of the names of the cheap MVNO's that have come and gone. Maybe I will look for the second cheapest.

At second cheapest, or third, or fourth - one ensures a bit more reliability, predictably, & service level - And, the money one spends per month, in many cases, is a small amount of the monthly budget. So we are probably chasing the wind unnecessarily. I get the thrill of the hunt, and
why not. But I remind myself to not squeeze too tightly.

I'll agree, I've been on the lookout for the cheapest service. But only with Verizon. Most of these fly by nights have not used the Verizon network, so I haven't been burned. I've got 4 lines on Total Wireless and for the foreseeable future, I think that will be tough to beat.

Cheapest is ALWAYS the best for me, especially since I use a GV # for my phone #. In my case, it is the Red Pocket $199 eBay plan that I most recently got for $134.99 ($149.99 Sale-$15 eBay Coupon). $11.25/mo for 1,000 minutes, 1,000 texts, and 500MB High Speed+500MB Reduced Speed LTE data using the Vzw network is perfect for my needs.
