    love it.

so if i ported my number to Google Voice, I could use this SIM, sign up with 10 Freedom Friends plus add MMS ($1.99 I think), and get UTnT + 1.1GB LTE for $15 right?

Confirmed. I got one this time. Funny thing, when I checked out it looked like they had changed the price to 1 cent. My credit card got billed for $1.99. Whatever, a penny or two dollars doesn't really matter considering the value of the service.

Now I need to figure out what to put it in. :~>

I have been happy with the Global SIM. This should be better except for the international use with the Global SIM.

    Thanks for the tip.

The free Bonus 1GB is just for the first month. After which you'll either have to pay for all the 'extras' or downgrade to the base free plan, which is only 200Mb. With FP friends that bumps it up to 700Mb, but if you use over 600Mb then I believe you get hit with an auto top-up of $15, or something like that.

Don't know about the rest, but talk is VOIP only over Wifi or mobile data. VOIP while mobile is not very reliable.

The new Google Voice app released last week now supports mms. So there is no need to pay for FP mms - just use the GV app or Hangouts. There are mixed reviews about the new GV app so you better research it first.

No need to port an existing phone number to GV, just get a new GV phone number and use that.

At the new LTE price of $1.99 that cost has dropped to $2.04.

EDIT 1/30/2017 3:30PM - Global sim is no longer on sale for $0.01

I'm going to try VoIP on a $30 GoPhone LG Phoenix 2 K371 that I have a SIM unlock code for. I never got around to trying it with one of my extra FP Global SIMs, and since this new FP SIM is LTE, I guess now I'll wait until it comes to try.

But I guess your question is still valid, since I will probably replace the FP Global SIMs currently in the 3 LTE tablets in our household with the new FP LTE SIMs...

I got an unused xt1045 and a xt1528. Might as well make them lte hotspots.

FYI the FP Global Sim is no longer on sale for 1 cent. Looks like it is now $9.99.

Note: The Global Sim is a different sim than the $1.99 LTE sim we are talking about in this thread.

Anywhere else to get the sim at a reasonable price?

Yes. The link in the first post, https://www.freedompop.com/offer/sim-nationwide-lte-b6 , has the FP GSM LTE SIM, which is the subject of this thread, for $1.99, which is the cheapest the FP GSM LTE SIM has ever been, so far.

I grabbed 1. Maybe 2, I accepted the extra sim for $.01 but I'm not sure if I'll get that or not. Anyway, ordered yesterday and received shipping confirmation today.

Is this the SIM that runs on at&t? I would like to try it out with a spare phone, but I have virtually no Sprint service where I live.
