    World Saver Up Again!

    4th increase in 3 years
I already had complained some countries doubled in price, now we are seeing triple & quadruple the rates offered when we signed up

The World Saver feature is going to become worthless at this rate

Wow these indeed are significant increases doesn't make Wind attractive anymore = online with big three
Lucky Albertan who has the promo loyalty $50 8gb lte plans = $33 each with discounts. And am not moving to new plans without my 1GB data roaming Canada and USA. Love for the Blackberry KEYone

True, I don't understand the increase to the UK, I mean it's always been around 0.01/0.02 but up to now 0.04?

You are right, it does become worthless. Some countries went up way way too much.
Called them to express my displeasure as well.
We are putting up with crappy coverage for a reason, soon that reason will expire.

    The rates seem very random
Some countries who have dirt cheap calling on every other carrier are expensive on Wind
Yet some countries are very good rates

I suspect some minutes are being sold at a loss to offset promos
(eg Fido has 1000 free international minutes being targeted at specific ethnic groups, is it any surprise those same countries have no increase on Wind and even some decreases)
It is sad I need to state the obvious but some people just don't get it. Any posts I make are my own OPINIONS and in no way represent the views of my employer

Does Wind differentiate between calls to landlines and calls to mobile devices? There are countries that charge substantially more for connecting to mobiles; perhaps Wind's rates are an average cost of both?

EDIT: Wind just has one rate for Austria ($0.25/minute), while Shaw charges $0.05/minute to connect to landlines and $0.45/minute for mobiles. Looking at some other rates (Italy, France etc) there are big differences between the landline and mobile rates as well.

Wind does not appear to, based on the World Saver rate card.

EDIT: Should have indicated that the new rate card does not differentiate.

The new card does not, which would support the idea that they are consolidating rates. Good if you are calling mobile phones (as rates will drop) but not so good if you are calling a landline (as prices go up).

I think Wind knows 99% of people are calling cell phones
In every single instance calling a landline is cheaper though

    And again
Oct 1st 2019 World Saver rates are again being increased

(although this time most changes seem small, some major countries like China might complain their rates are being doubled though)
