    Curious about Total Wireless

Hello all, looking for some advice. Have Sprint postpaid currently with 2 lines @ $100 for "unlimited" data. For the same price, could go with Total Wireless and get 4 lines @ 12GB (which is plenty). Losing the unlimited data woudn't be a big deal, in exchange for much better native coverage and the consistent 4G footprint vs. Sprint's swiss cheese of a network.

Is Total Wireless true, unthrottled Verizon? How has everyone's experience been with them?

Total Wireless is throttled to 5 Mbps download and 2 Mbps upload. Most don't care since you can still stream HD with that.

Correct, same throttling as with any other Verizon MVNO. Plus you can add extra gb just in case that (for what i've seen) never actually expires. Total wireless is a great service for anyone who has multiple lines and great verizon coverage.

We've been enjoying them. And one correction, the 4 line plan includes 15gb of shared data.

What about for just a single line? Better than straight talk?

2 iPhones are better than one. Twice the fun. Ask anyone.

It's the same thing as ST... like exact same service just Internet turns off at 5gb instead of the throttle kicking in and TW is limited to VZW only.

Hmm, VZW is what I want anyway. It's cheaper too if I'm not mistaken?

    TW 5GB hard stop = $35
    ST 5GB down to 2G = $45

I'm currently on ST and that $10/month CHEAPER is what's motivating me to switch (when I find out a way to make my Nexus 6 works on TW). If you're not on either ST nor TW and still on the fence, go with TW. After 5GB, the throttled data is pretty much UNUSABLE. It's the same story for ALL MVNO, not just StraightTalk. Might as well find a way to get REAL data service after 5GB and not charged the $10 extra for unusable service.

BTW. Does anybody have any experience with Nexus 6 on TW? It's the same damn company and the same damn network but Nexus 6 is not um... "compatible" with TW when checked on TW site. WTF!

Ive seen people have problems with moving a BYOP from one "Tracfone" company to another. That might be your problem. You might be able to contact ST to see if they can do something. (granted you will get 6 different answers)

Question for you guys my parents are getting off my Verizon plan. I know the 2 iPhones will work will it also let my dad bring his 3G basic ravine 2 also. It said it checked out on the website. It would be on the 85$ family plan if that matters. Thanks.

I just did. No dice! The stupidest thing is, when I checked my phone compatibility on StraightTalk it says my phone is not compatible for StraighTalk Verizon. WTF! I AM on the damn StraighTalk Verizon *******! I think the checking software was trying to be smart by telling me I'm not elligible (because I'm ALREADY ON the plan!)

Any way, I will try calling TW when my last month on ST is about to expire, if they don't seem to know what they're talking about, I will try to move over to T-Mobile just for one month and then move back to TW to see if it's still possible. If not, I will move back to ST from T-Mobile just like I used to do a year ago.
