Yup. There have been plenty of times where other users on HoFo have painted Oklahoma AT&T service in a completely different way than he does.

I remember one time when he was like "there's no LTE here" yet someone else replied and had seen LTE there.

Route 69 through pretty much the whole state has great LTE coverage, had a nexus 5 at the time which everyone knows was an awful performer on the GSM side and it didn't drop LTE pretty much the entire way.

My new rule for myself is to not knock any of the carriers like I have at times. We all have our favorites but I want the market to have 4 prosperous carriers.

The site near ggore that is still 2G-only is literally the only remaining 2G-only site in all of Oklahoma. Easily over 95% of the sites in Oklahoma have LTE. Site density in all but very rural areas looks very good. AT&T's service in Oklahoma is actually quite good almost everywhere (every carrier has problem spots), despite some reports to the contrary.

As a new AT&T customer of only two weeks, what tool gives you that level of detailed information?

Any plans for the 2G only site serving Mt. Airy casino in PA?

Just because you're not a customer doesn't mean he doesn't know people that are. I easily can see what every carrier has going on if I really want to.

BMWdude can correct me, but I'm pretty sure he's an AT&T employee.

Relax. I'm the new AT&T customer and it was a genuine question asking where I can see that kind of detail, if it's possible because I'm a consumer who travels all over the country but has not done so yet with an AT&T phone.

Wow, that really is a significant distinction! LOL I did receive a note on AT&T's Mark the Spot app over a month ago that an improvement is "coming soon". Hopefully that will be an upgrade to LTE like every other carrier that serves the area already provides.

US 69, one road, excellent service, that is great, it really is, I do not dispute that at all. Now go to the other side of the state and drive US 60, US 183, US 270, SH 3, SH 33, SH 47, SH 54, and see what happens. Sites with LTE spaced 40 miles apart, or even more, huge gaps in service between them. Multiple un-upgraded sites along those routes in between the upgraded LTE sites for some odd reason. (The red dots on the map below show unupgraded sites) Those are also gaps in VoLTE/HD Voice. All that is just fine, I suppose. Sorry, I disagree. All is not perfect in AT&T-land, that is just a fact. Part of this situation is caused by AT&T's paucity of spectrum in Oklahoma, but that does not excuse all the un-upgraded sites.

Verizon covers the entire state with LTE with the exception of some mountainous areas in the southeast corner. They do this both natively and via the LTEiRA program with partners. T-Mobile covers most of the state with LTE with the exception of the panhandle and those same mountainous areas. There are still some un-upgraded areas of T-Mobile 2G/EDGE. US Cellular covers most of the state except the panhandle and the northwest quadrant of the state with LTE and those same mountains. Sprint only covers the interstate highways and turnpikes and a few areas away from those, but they are all served with LTE.

Yeah that's a good point. Att fallback works great but more lte as time goes on is def a plus. Hopefully they continue with solid upgrades. Att LTE seems to be very close with Verizon but overall I see more LTE with Verizon. Not a huge difference but still a difference. I wonder if att will roll have with 5g when that comes out
