    Very slow wifi?

Just got a new Motorola AC1600 modem and wifi router because my cable company said my old router was out of date. They told me this would increase my speed significantly.

You didn't mention what your ISP plan limits are relative to what you are getting. Also wifi speeds depend on distance and interference. You might consider powerline adapters.

So, you're getting >25 Mbps to your phone over WiFi. And your problem is???
You need to separate out the cable speed from the WiFi speed and look at each as its own issue.
Do you have a PC directly connected (wired) to the router? What speeds does it give you at the same time of day?

Did you installed Motorola AC1600 modem correctly?
If your ISP Plan is high-speed then contact to your carrier.

WiFi is not a good way to accurately test your speed unless you know what you’re doing. It can vary so much based on settings, Qos implementation, user device, or even interference . I have a iPhone se that gets half the speed over 2.4ghz vs my S7. If I didn’t know better and used it to check my connection I’d be upset. If you can run a test over Ethernet to a pc, even that may not be accurate my laptop only supports 100mbps over Ethernet. At least it would give you a better idea of what your connection speed is if you pay for higher than 25.
