Cricket Phone Shows LTE Band 17 but not H20 Phone

    According to LTE Discovery:

1 Bar of LTE Band 17 on my Cricket Phone (LG G2)
3 Bars of HSPA on my H2O Phone (Note 4)

Why the difference? Some type of coverage prioritization?

    Both phones are AT&T models.

Does the H2O SIM not show LTE no matter what phone it is in? If so, you may need to upgrade to an LTE plan (they send a new SIM). If you are on Paygo, you would lose your balance upon upgrade.

You can also go into your account online, and check the name of your plan. If the plan name does not have "LTE" in it, you would have to upgrade, to get LTE.

I agree with the above. You might need an LTE sim card/plan. If you're not sure if both are LTE enabled, call or chat with customer service.

Both phones have band 17. Reception can vary by phone model, but Samsungs in general get good reception.

Appreciate the suggestions! Turns out I had disabled mobile data to avoid data charges when it phones home. In disabling this it also disabled the APN. When mobile data was enabled it didn't enable the APN. Once the APN was manually enabled LTE was seen.
