No problems with them? I think someone had posted the G2 had problems with dead spots on the screen.

I have a Verizon LG G2 on TracFone.

I haven't had any problems with it either. As for the post's online about the screens going bad or have dead spots, it is my thinking is that many people carry their phones in a pocket along with other items. No offense to anyone if you prefer to carry your phone in this manner. I simply just don't like carrying my phone in a pocket.

Did a search and found lots of reports of dead spots with the G2. I decided against it and ordered a used Vista from ebay.

I activated my G2 in late April (early May?)

No issues, no dead spots (yet).

Most of the reports I saw (back in April/May) were from early on, so perhaps a change in manufacturing.

Mine was "seller refurbished" and the screen is fine. Maybe the seller replaced the screen. So far works great.

My was brand new from Best Buy.
Have to look for a date in the box or other indication, but I suspect it was from the last run since it was on clearance . All the early production units would have sold long before then.

I was looking at used on ebay, so no way to know if it was older or newer model, didn't want to chance it. I ordered the Vista instead, any thoughts on it. I know it's a little less powerful than the G2, but I wanted a big screen and it should do fine for my needs. I'm going to try and activate it and use it for a few weeks, then transfer my number and service from my ultimate 2.

LG G2 screen dead spots can be repaired by Communication Depot in St Louis.
They repaired my G2 which had fried the CPU chip - amazing job - very reasonable price.
They are familiar with the 'dead screen' problem - told me they had repaired many LGs (G2, G3, etc.)

Replacing the digitizer isn't that hard.

Any decent phone repair shop can do it in an hour or so (once they have the part).

Can be done as a DIY project if you have the patience.

Check YouTube for videos, then decide if you're up for the challenge. Always easier than it looks.
    Cheers!
