Which part? I've driven the Turnpike twice since I got AT&T and coverage was solid (as it should be).

I heard reports that Verizon's LTE has holes down there (Southern Jersey overall), but seeing their rapid buildout in Northern NJ gives me hope that they're working on it.

They did fix a few places but Mullica Hill was rough. My dogs vet was there. Att & T-Mobile had 2 cells sites in the area, sprint 1. Verizon 0. Look at cell mapper etc and that whole area is black. Now I haven't had Verizon since 2013 but I doubt it improved unless they added on those sites which I feel is unlikely... Last time I was there I didn't see Verizon panels. Funny enough I have to drive all the way down there tomorrow to get stupid heartworm pills--didn't want to change vets when we moved.

Also a few places near the shore but that's far. I'll PM you this weekend.

I'm sorry I wasn't clear. I meant same thing applies to southern NJ for Verizon.

Thanks man. Hope everything is ok. Up here in northern NJ, they are going nuts with density, all they have to do is co locate on existing macros down your way, I don't get it.,

Verizon does not give 1 crap about Philadelphia. Never has and never will. That includes Delaware. Their engineers are arrogant and clueless. They blame hills instead of colocating on sites. A NYC engineer agreed it's bad down here in 2012.

Also be clear, this market is already lacking in monopoles and other sites. So even just colocating on every site is just the start. I doubt new 100-145' sites would even be built anymore so I feel small cells are the only way forward here. I haven't seen a new monopole in over 5 years in de or philly--yes really.

Drove over the bridge into south NJ. I saw 6 At&t cell sites, 1 Verizon, 2 sprint and 2 T-Mobile until I got to my vet.

This is one of the last band 12 only sites I've seen around here-in front of my vet. Clearly overloaded even at -78 rsrp but Verizon is 1X here so I can't complain.

So yep. Att still rules south nj-Verizon isn't plugging holes so far. On our way to the shore so we'll see what else i see (I'm not driving).

Edited to add: south NJ is 20x20 band 2 now too

Yikes, so far on 55 south and 40 East, same as last year. Every single site has AT&T and T-Mobile. Most have Sprint. I've seen 0 Verizon panels. That isn't to say they don't have some sites off the roads of course, but certainly no investment from big red here. Not shocking.

Thanks for reporting back my friend. Shame on Verizon and kudos to At&t for building out a dense network. What a difference two parts of the state make. How are the speeds on At&t 20x20 and do you know where exactly they have band 2 20x20 deployed?

Does Verizon have 20x20 AWS in South Jersey? Looks like all that AT&T PCS 15x15 I saw on Memorial Day weekend got upgraded to 20x20.

Their spectrum poftfolio down in Southern NJ is loaded. Assuming PCS is 20x20, it would go like this ...

    At&t

    20x20 band 2
    10x10 band 12
    10x10 band 30
    10x10 band 4
    10x0 band 29

That is a 110mhz network dedicated to LTE.

    Verizon

    15x15 band 4
    10x10 band 13
    10x10 band 2

I believe they won 10x10 of AWS-3. Same with At&t

Verizon has a total of 30mhz of AWS spectrum from Southern Ocean County NJ south and west.

    I'm on band 4. There's a plane advertising AT&T too haha.

Looks like all of SNJ, new castle county de, Philadelphia county are 20x20 pcs. Outer burbs of PA are still 15x15 as is Kent county de minus Dover.

Just an edit: I've flipped for band 2 20x20 and it's slower than band 4. I don't understand why backhaul is such a problem? Or is it because there's such a lack of cell sites that each site is so overloaded even with good backhaul?
