Big deal from Fido. Very comparable to the Manitoba Koodo plan. It looks like the Fido plan is available nationwide. Available today only. Check it out.

I've had great success previously switching over to the MB plans for my family over the last few months, but I always had a good plan already so never changed mine.

Today I took the plunge and went for the QC plan

They gave me a Toronto number, so I went into the self serve to change to a QC number but when I hit change number it says service is no longer available.

Is this a legit error that will fix itself or is there something going on?
Do I just need to be more patient?

Edit: I guess I was too fast. It finally let me change. Thanks folks!

Edit: turns out maybe I was just too fast. All is good now!

Give it a rest for a few minutes/hours. I made the change for a friend as recently as Dec 23 and initially they encountered the same error.

For existing Fido customers, you have to speak to retentions which is a hit or miss. For new customers, you have to perform a similar workaround as obtaining Koodo plan. Also, there's no mention of the 1000 LD minutes which is vital for some (and may be included, just not mentioned on RFD?)

Regardless, you're still paying more for less. The only advantage Fido offers is Fido Roam.
