Freedom showing up on the available networks list in Victoria today.
I read they go live on Feb 8th

There is an ISED records for Prince Rupert (not Prince George) BC (Wales Island), which is quite interesting considering how small it is (~17k population).
Also lots of new entries around Victoria and Gulf Island along the ferry route to Victoria.
My home town! I haven't been back in like 5 years, but it would be bad *** if I could have Freedom coverage there.
I also think this is especially interesting, because I'm pretty sure the North Coast areas around there are the only places in the West that aren't Shaw territory
I could definitely see the tower being added to capture American roaming, as was suggested, as well. There are big cruise ships that stop there, as well as a ferry to/from Alaska. One tower would cover a good chunk of the city as well. Cell Mapper only reports four total towers for Bell/Telus, 3G only. Last time I was there, Rogers was 2G only. If Freedom ended up putting up a couple of towers, they probably would get plenty of people to sign up, given the cheaper pricing and large data buckets.
I just checked the latest TAFL data and I see Freedom backhaul for the first time in:
* Nanaimo
* Cranbrook
* Lethbridge
* Medicine Hat
Not sure about Eastern Canada, there seems to be lots of towers along the 401 all the way up until Cornwall which I don't believe I've seen before (like Napanee)
Ten year licenses are expiring. Build it or lose it.

They finally fixed the dead spot on the causeway in the middle of Stanley Park in Vancouver

Those two towers have been there at least a few years.
True, but at least they adjusted them or changed the frequency

Calls are cutting out again there! Hopefully they fix it again soon
