    Motorola M900 - Web Access

    Hi all,

You did a fantastic job with my last phone project a Globalstar 1600 sat phone with Page Plus cellular.

I turn to you once again. This time, I have a Motorola M900 Bag Phone (GSM) running on Straight Talk.

The phone makes and recieves calls perfectly. Voice mail works, texting works both ways.

What I want to do now, is get my web access up and running. The phone is registered on GPRS. I have the "unlimited" ST plan...

My menu for the web setup is as follows:

Menu > Web Access > Web Sessions

    Name: Straight Talk
Homepage: mms3.tracfone.com (last thing i tried)
    WAP IP1: 66.209.11.33
    Port 1: 9201
    WAP IP2: 000.000.000.000
    Port 2: 9201
    Timeout: 15 Minutes
    CSD No. 1:
    User Name 1:
    Password 1:
    Speed: 9600Bps
    Line Type1: Modem
    CSD No. 2:
    User Name 2:
    Password 2:
    Speed: 9600Bps
    Line Type2: Modem
    GPRS APN: tfdata
    User Name:
    Password:

    =======

I have tried every form of everything i can find online, all the old cingular setups older tracfone setups, random try this for free internet posts, everything.

using ANY other APN name (wap.cinglular, att.mvno, etc) results in immediate fail when opening the browser. Using the tfdata APN, I get a sold "Connecting" screen...

Problem is it won't connect. Just times out and says "Data Server not available"

Now I understand, that even once working, its just a novelty on this phone, but id love to be able to use this thing for fun.

For reference, Im not in the boonies outside of coverage areas. I'm in Tulsa oklahoma (boonies compared to large cities, but i should be able to get gprs data no issue.

    Thanks for your help!

The telephone probably has no MMS capability since it can show only a few lines of text. It should work like the old text-based web browser, Lynx. Omit the MMS Service Center and Proxy. There probably is no place to enter that in the settings. Home Page is not the place to enter the MMS Service Center. Straight Talk uses no home page.

Look in this thread http://www.howardforums.com/showthre...WAP-Email-etc) and enter the fields appropriate to Straight Talk.

I did not say to use the Cingular settings. I told you to put the Straight Talk settings in the appropriate fields. Straight Talk did not exist when that thread was created and the thread was in an AT&T Forum.
