    iPhone 6 Cases

Looking for a good solid case with a belt clip for an iPhone 6. I have a Seidio case with belt clip for my Galaxy S2 and it's an great case. Thought I'd check here just incase I am missing something better. I've read some BAD reviews on the Lifeproof cases but I'd sure like something water proof for those days on the boat just incase.

    Thoughts ?

I had a Lifeproof on my iPhone 4S, and was quite satisfied with it, until a crack started in the hinge of the plastic charging port cover. The biggest problem was the fact that the person on the other end of the call had a bit of a hard time hearing me; I've learned since then that opening the charging port cover substantially eliminates that problem. Back in 2012, this was the only waterproof case on the market, other than the waterproof sleeves (water protection, but no drop protection).

When I got the iPhone 6, there was no waterproof case for it, so I bought a Speck Candyshell, and ArmourTech tempered glass screen protector from Amazon.com. Lifeproof came out with their case just before Thanksgiving, and Incipio announced one to be released in mid-January, at about $10 less than Lifeproof - http://catalystlifestyle.com

My biggest hesitation on the Lifeproof was the hinge design, which is substantially improved, but I decided not to wait for the Incipio waterproof, and I don't regret it.

The Lifeproof instructions say to remove any screen protectors, but I chose to leave mine on (some times I may want to use the phone without the LP case, and then I'd have to shell out for a new screen protector - protectors can't be reused). The case still closes OK, and the only problem is some sensitivity change at the very edge of the screen. I don't consider it a big deal. Actually. screen protectors for the iPhone 6 don't go out to the edges, since the new screen has rounded edges, and protectors can only be used on flat surfaces.

Also, the Apple power/data connector fits just fine, but some 3rd party connectors (like AT&T curly cord power cable) have thicker shells and can't fit the LP opening (same for the Speck).

    Good luck!
