    Galaxy S3 competitors?

Looking to upgrade to a 4G phone and have my eye on the Samsung Galaxy S3. What other android phones are in the same price range (used), and also have:
    1. removable battery
    2. microSD slot
    3. good reviews

I cannot believe we are still discussing Galaxy S3 competitors here ?!!!

I think you should atleast upgrade to an S5 or I Phone 5S

Check Phone arena for suggestions .I'm unable to post links here

I'm looking to buy a phone outright, no contract, and therefore no subsidy.

    A used S3 will run ~$120, while a used S4 will run ~$240. Considering I'm still using a 2010 Droid X that I purchased in 2012, I think I'd experience a nice performance upgrade moving to a 2012 S3 in 2014.

Wanting removable battery will really limit your choices.

I suppose if the phone can be easily disassembled to give access to the battery, that would be fine too, since battery access wouldn't be a regular thing, just one-off when replacing a dying battery.

Just don't want to buy a 1 or 2yr old phone where battery replacement is not possible or requires a phone technician to perform the change.

Don't think your going to find anything like the S3 in that price range. TouchWiz is horrible though.

I was thinking of the Moto G but it doesn't have the features the OP asked for. And only one version of the Moto G offers LTE if their even selling it anymore with the 2014 version out now.

The other con to the Galaxy S3, if you're going to be on VZW, is it ONLY supports band 13 LTE - which is better now with band 4 deployed, but my wife had an S3 and we handed it down to my mother - it's 'fast' but it surely can be as slow on LTE as it is on EVDO.

Yep, it certainly cost more, but I got a good deal on it, so I'm happy. Would've been happy with a S3 too, as that would have been much quicker than the Droid X when running current apps. I figure the extra money buys me a bit more time before the next upgrade.
