    Koodo representative says $55 MB/SK phones are subject to an audit

    Potentially bad news,

    I just signed up for the $55 MB/SK plan, and was told by a representative on the phone that my plan was subject to an audit; if the phone number or address on the line change, we'll be forced to get an Ontario plan.


    Can anyone confirm this, or was this just a scare tactic? Thanks.

    Why would you tell the Koodo rep you are going to change your number?! Just finished signing a family friend up. No issues ported the number all is well. I have been hearing scare tactics like these forever. Starting with the
    Wind i35 plan that was available only in Vancouver and everybody that I know that had it still does many years after. Also heard this about the Virgin Tbay plan going on 17 months personally, know people that are longer and nothing. Excuse my language but this is just BS. They are just trying to scare people is all my friend.
    Phones using: Honor Play 6GB 128GB,wife using LG G7 One, son using iPhone XR,daughter using iPhone XR, Youngest son using Xiaomi Redmi 5.

    I didn't tell her that I plan to port the number. I suppose she assumed that since so many people do that.

    I'm very nervous about porting. They could presumably audit months later.

    Again just something the rep said, listen people do not like been made a fool of. And if they know they are they get t upset.
    I really wouldn't worry about it, why were we not told just 30 minutes ago when signing up at centrepoint mall n Toronto?

    Okay, fair enough. I too strongly supect it's just a bs scare tactic, but the fact that Get-Me1 and I were told the same thing on the same day by two different employees has me a little bit nervous. If they were trying to scare me, then it worked

    Have you heard of any cases of Koodo employees threatening auditing for the $55 plan? If so, then it would greatly put my mind at ease.

    I saw something to that effect posted on the original thread of how to get the plan that I posted way back.
    Listen there is really nothing to lose.
    They might close the loophole like Virgin/Bell did, but take away the plan from paying customers who weren't paying customers before? No, that would be plain stupid on their part.

    I just tried to port my number and it failed. I'm getting an error that says, "Unfortunately, we are not able to process your request at this time. Please try again later." and "No message found for this code"

    Ijcy, were you able to port the number successfully today?

    Ten minutes after getting the plan. So about an hour ago now. Did you put the account number,name,and check mark the I agree icon?

    It didn't work with my name, number and PIN. But it did work with my name, number and account number! Sigh of relief... thanks ijcy

    So i got my cousin on this plan last week, and today he got a call from Koodo from #1-866-995-6636 saying its a courtesy call, asking how were services, and he sd he noticed he's on a plan that he isnt "eligible" for, he sd he won't be making any changes to his account, he sd that Koodo is running a Manitoba Saskatchewan only campaign, and to expect another call.

    N-Y's cousin got a courtesy call from Koodo today. The person on the phone said that he noticed that he wasn't eligible for the plan and that he should be expecting another call soon.
