    It requires NO fraud whatsoever!
    Sure it does.
You'd be really hard pressed to make that case.

If lying during a transaction was automatically fraud we'd be seeing late numbers of carrier employees facing charges
AFAIK. The Koodo $50/5gb plan requires no lying. Fido's SK/MB requires no lying either.

It seems good plans must always have a catch:
    -Wind: bad reception, roaming, coverage
    -8com: restricted to transportation industry
    -Virgin Tbay: Tbay res
-Regional carriers (Sasktel, Videotron, Tbaytel etc): regional
    -Corporate plans: company employee only
-Retention plans: credits expire, time spent haggling
    -Koodo and Fido's SK/MB plan: ???
    Moto X 2013 (XT1058)
    Koodo $35 - UL Canada-wide talk, UL worldwide SMS/MMS, 1gb

    OLD: Fido $35 - 400DT, UL E/[email protected], CID, UL Intl SMS/MMS, 400mb

So you do admit you have to lie to get the plan

You do not lie to get this plan! I have no idea where you got that from my friend.

show me when the fraud kicks in please:

If you are using your old phone on koodoo pay to have it unlocked.
Go to koodo website. When prompted for province enter Manitoba. Purchase a phone with the $55 plan. When prompted choose a Manitoba city. Purchase a phone that has the same sim as your current phone. (Unless you want a new phone) then its irrelevant. Receive new phone and sim in mail. Activate new sim in old phone or new phone. Create a login to koodoo and port your old phone number over to koodoo so you no longer have a Manitoba number. Which at the same time cancels your old account.

Return new phone if you don't want to keep it. Boom done.

    Or here:

    1. Go to Telus store and tell them you're switching phones and just want a new sim card. Don't activate it, take it home.
    2. Go online and create a new pre-paid account with Telus with a MB/SK #, using your current home address, and the SIM card you just bought. They'll make you pay $10 as that's the minimum top up. Now you have a MB/SK tel # with a Toronto address.
    3. Go to a store (I went to Best Buy) and tell them you want to switch to Koodo from Telus AND port in your current number at the same time.
    4. They'll ask for your MB telephone number (which I memorized), postal code and then ask for your DL and CC to setup your new MTM plan.
    5. They'll give you plans to chose from - he only showed me Canada wide plans, so I chose the cheapest option.
    6. I intend to change my plan when my current billing cycle ends (in three days) and then port in my TO #.

No, I said if lying was fraud, a bunch of carrier employees would be facing charges.

    Wasn't the $65 plan a SmartPlan too?

Yes, the $65 winback has been offered in BOTH Standard and Smart versions (both same price, strangely). So, there's probably a $55/2GB standard winback too.

    FIDO $60/10GB + 5 hours unlimited data
WIND $15 AITF unlimited data (10GB full speed)

Strange, esp. since AFAIK there was no BYOD discount on the $65 standard winback.

Nope apparently no BYOD allowed on any winback or the previous $65 retention plan, regardless if Standard or Smart.

So if the $65/5GB plan is now a Smart plan, and my moms contract is up and mine is up on Sept 16, how do we get this plan? $350 hardware subsidy isn't so bad ($100 more for the iPhone, not a big deal).
Unlimited US and Canada Calling and SMS/6GB Data/VVM CID
