Upgrading from Incredible 2 - recommendations?

I'll probably stick with this for a few months more; but looking at some dual band upgrade possibilities. This phone was great last month using in Kenya and Swaziland via SIM cards, and back to PP when I got home with no hiccups.

Any ideas for a next step from Incredible 2?

Probably easiest will be Droid Razr Maxx and get blank Verizon SIM card to program.

I believe RAZR already have SIM card slot unlocked out side of US use.

The Moto G that works with Page Plus does not have a sim card slot. It is cdma only.

There's no SIM card slot in the CDMA models.

I gotta tell you, I know this is heresy, but no memory card would be a deal killer for me.

At the price point the OP is going for there's only so many options that are better than a D'Inc 2

The lack of expandable memory is annoying but for me, the reason why I haven't jumped to the Moto G yet is the lack of a removable replaceable battery. I need a phone that can be used for more than a day or 2 without having to recharge or be tied down to a power outlet.

So for now, still using the Samsung Fascinate but getting increasingly annoying/frustrating at trying to live with under 400 mb of ram.

Well, I think honestly having a global capable phone (CDMA in US for page plus) but with a SIM card slot for overseas use would be what I'd like. Just something with a newer version of android.

If you have a rooted phone and are handy, you should try an app called Link2SD. You have to create a 2nd partition on the SD card of a GB or two, then the app creates links to the program you want to run. This method is much more efficient than moving the app to the SD card.

You can read about it here:

I am not having problem with storage space in the phone. Just the ability to run the apps. Some apps have become really bloated now in regards to how much ram is needed to launch them.

That's what Link2SD is all about. It reduces the amount of RAM the app uses.
You could also try Swapper and Swapper2.

But not at the same time.
