Cheap Android phone that can use Galaxy S4 sim?

My Galaxy S4 got wet and now it seems to work except for the small problem of the screen not coming on at all.

So I want to buy a phone, maybe a prepaid off the shelf? That would accept the sim card from my Verizon Galaxy S4 so I can make/receive phone calls while the S4 is in for repair.

Can that be done? Suggestions on phones that are available that would work?

    Thanks,

    Damon

I think that Salaxy S5 might be a good option to resolve your issue. Not any other phone was found to run your Micro SIM. That phone might help you out.

Thanks for the information, but I don't think that the Galaxy S5 would qualify as a cheap alternative to buying a new S4.

If the S4 sim doesn't work with anything else then I really out of luck.

Well miracles do happen and after another day my S4 is back to full operation, crisis averted.

I've discovered what I didn't know about Verizon, swapping sims from one phone to another (even if the sims themselves are compatiple) doesn't bring over your phone number and automatically make the phone work.

I've only been on Verizon for 10 months after more than a decade with Powertel/Voicestream/Tmobile and with Tmobile I was able to swap my smartphone sim into a $10 off the shelf prepaid phone and have it fully function.
