Not a bad deal. It looks like T-Mobile has impacted their subscriber numbers this quarter. Verizon now looks very much over priced.

This plan has great pricing. If I didn't have unlimited data I would be all over it as this is the coverage of AT&T with T-Mobile like pricing.

I currently have the value plan $155 for 6gb. I looked online and it doesn't show the 10gb option for $160? 3 lines here.

Did you go to the link at the bottom of the article? It's clearly shown there. And its only $145 for 3 lines.

Oh wow, this is quite the deal.

I recently switched some stuff around and have 3 lines (750 min) with unlim/3gb/300mb on the three lines. Plus free family messaging for 2 years. That comes out to about $160-170 after my Premier discount.

This would be $145 before my discount.

If I went to this plan, am I forced to go with AT&T Next or can I still sign contracts with the traditional subsidy?

I dont blame you, Verizon has largely resisted the changes pushed by Tmobile, while they introduced EDGE they never discounted the plans or did anything else. This to me will be the straw that broke the camels back, ATT and Verizon have comparable coverage in many many places are considered on par as far as service level, I don't see how Tmobile and ATT's new options doesn't leave them bleeding customers.

As I read it you only have 3 choices:

    Next
    BYOD
    Buy full retail from them

How did you get free family messaging for two years?
