I'm still new to WP but here are a few of apps I really enjoy:

    Iheartradio
    Public News Browser
    UC Browser
    Youtube to mp3

The Public News Browser is great. I'm a big NPR fan and I know most people think boring news when they hear NPR. But they have an incredible library of indie music and podcasts and this app compiles them nicely. The content is continuously updated and current. I can't really listen to modern "regular" radio anymore so if you are the same please check it out. Plus you can stream live stations as well like KCRW & WFUV. Android does not offer as good an NPR app as this one.

I have 1 Weather on Android. I paid 1.99 for it. I am going to get the Nokia Icon and did not see this weather app in the Windows App store. it is called 1Weather : Widget , Forecast , Radar . This is by OneLouder

Check this to see if the app is available on Nokia phones
    or see their equivalents.

App #Switch: Find Your Favorite Apps On Nokia Lumia Windows Phone

MyRadar Weather Radar (Paid version) is my favorite Radar App
I also use Blue Skies as my Weather app along with Microsoft's own Weather app.
And Cortana has Weather. So there is no shortage of weather apps, and they are all very decent apps.

    Add to Contacts
    All Recipes
    7Pass
    Authenticator
Disqus App (Only available on WP)
    Doorstep (Package Tracking app)
    Tapatalk
    WPCentral
    MyTube
    OneNote
    OneDrive
    Twitter
and a whole slew of other things.

The whole, WP has no Apps argument is null and void.
Are they better? some are, some aren't. That is entirely up to the devs.

    Free call??? No ...

Viber has ability to use your Google Voice number ... and place Viber-Out calls for a few cpm. It's quite useful in WiFi environments and with 3G and 4G service.

On my Lumia 520 phone, I loaded a great app from the Windows Store called "#1 Toolkit", it has a:

    -ruler (inches & cm)
    -compass
    -protractor
    -bubble level

    -flashlight
    -mirror
    -magnifying glass
-conversions (quantity, length, time, speed, mass, surface, pressure, data (kb,mb,gb), power, energy, volume, temperature)
-conversion (currency to currency or currency to 1oz of gold)

    -sound level meter (in db)
    -sound recorder
    -timer
    -stop watch
    -world clock
-speedometer (for walking, bicycle, driving and flying)

    Is a Telegram a metric e-mail?

I'm curious how many of the features of that program don't work on your 520. Granted, most will but the compass doesn't (520 has no compass), I don't believe the bubble level will work, as well as the flashlight (no flash) unless it uses the screen, though that wouldn't be very bright.
