Wirelessly posted (Samsung Galaxy Nexus: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X 10_6_3; en-us) AppleWebKit/533.16 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/5.0 Safari/533.16)
After getting f'ed on reconnection problem, I bought Samsung Galaxy Hotspot Wednesday.
The rep switch my plan from 5GB webconnect to new 4.5GB MBB (same monthly price). The setup was painful because I kept getting error. After two hours of working with store rep and TS, it worked.
This thing looks bigger but thinner than ZTE one.
It uses Galaxy Note 2 battery (I have one left after selling my Note 2).
It's Android-based (that's why I call it Galaxy Hotspot).
No touchscreen.
It's $170 or $50 down and $5*24months.
It doesn't have same reconnect problem like ZTE does and I am happier with it.
How's that been working now that you've had a couple months to play around with it? Also, any word on a desktop dock for it to give it a larger, more powerful antenna?
Clear's screwing the service up in my neighborhood, so I'm actively exploring other options. Since I'm a T-Mobile customer, I've been looking at this mobile hotspot.
