And to take advantage of this $100 + $35 deal I suppose you have to sign a new contract for two years too?

Yes, new contract. You don't have to pay the $35 if you're willing to wait for warranty.

This is the same deal they have been offering the last 6 weeks for people complaining about reception issues.
Nothing has been implemented yet for a program to get them off the network.
MOTOROLA Still #1 in reception and call clarity.

They need to realize its costing them customers to keep it on the network - if it is truly a device only issue. We (3 lines) left because of the in the tank data speeds and the deafening silence on LTE in our area. It was probably 50/50 we would have stayed if it was absence of LTE only, so the network issue sealed the deal and cost them customers.

But since no one at USCC wanted to know WHY we left, they'll have to come to that conclusion themselves....

They had a windfall from the Sprint sale to use. Infrastructure or Dividends. Customer Service or Lining Pockets.

What happened to people blaming the iPhone for magically taking down a network it wasn't even ON? That was hysterical.

Geez, the problem with this is it ain't good enough to give people a $100 credit towards another phone (and I assume an extended contract). If they're actually serious about this, they HAVE to just give people another *new* phone outright. There's no other way to make it right, and I certainly wouldn't pay my own money to fix Samsung's problem.

USCC will be contacting S3's owners that have the affected phones and will be replacing them with S4's for free. Sounds like not all of them are bad.

People are blaming the iphone because they borrowed spectrum from their 850mhz network to use and refarmed to 4G, so the iphone would work on the network. Impletmented band to be compatible with Iphone.

Curious....does the refarm also enable LTE for the iPhone in those areas that don't have LTE yet for the other devices?

Got this from my rep today in regards to what's up with the S3-
"The S3 we had some devices that were having reception issues. They put in a fix for these and even with the fix there are some devices that have had issues with reception. It is not all devices, but since it is happening to some in a substantial number we have suspended sales on them while working with Samsung to correct. If you have any that are having issues please let me know and we can work with those users to identify if it is a device issue."
Nothing saying anything about a swap with the S4.

I had a customer come in with a 2 week old phone replacement S3 on Saturday that the screen went out on. Tech support was going to replace with another s3 until I insisted we move to different device.

Was just at a corporate store, they are waiting on a list of ESN's from Samsung, if your S3 is on that list, you will get a free S4.

This recall has nothing to do with phones having reception issues as the main thing.. It is phones that are causing network interference, but could also have reception issues.

I still don't get it how a phone can cause system wide Network Issues.

To paraphrase and explain as was explained to me, the effected phones are causing the towers to rob Peter to pay Paul so speak. And in the end, everyone's broke and no one has reliable service.
