Oh, and that ebay seller must have just made a mistake on the first phone. No free offer on the second one. Too bad I sent the first one back so soon. I'm writing this with the third Note 4.

Dublus, appreciate if you can share how you do this??

I had no issue with 5GB limit until added this hotspot option.. So something is meessed when u have PAU and add hotspoot on top of it which maybe not very compatible one. Bcoz hotspot came few years after PAU..
Actually the $15 hotspot options was introduced in 2010:

    http://www.tmonews.com/2010/10/t-mob...-november-3rd/

And it was only meant for a limited plan.

T-force has a ticket open now to check what is going on. They keep telling me that PAU is a 5GB limit plan, even-though it is not.
I think the T-Mobile engineers put in a mechanism so that the hotspot option could only be added to a limited plan so that nobody would add it to fully unlimited plans. PAU will show in their system as a 5GB plan even though the throttle was removed awhile ago as everyone knows. But when they add the hotspot, the 5GB throttle kicks in again. They can investigate, but I don't think they're going to find a way to workaround the system so that you have the hotspot function on an unlimited plan.

Man! the mlb promo does not seem to be working for grandfathered plans this year yet. Even non-Tmobile subscribers are getting these free mlb passes through On demand 200mb free tablet plans when they are not supposed to.

    http://www.t-mobile.com/mlb.html

check and see if you guys can get this.
Its only working on my match your data up to 5gb line.
I did see the season opener game today and Pirates owned the Cardinals.

Thx Jet again.. I will wait and post updates on this.

I was gonna live with this situation but looks like these days android drains a lot of data for no reason. So I had to turnoff background data..

With the super legacy, we are running out to add any options to plan..

Phone must be rooted. Copy your existing APN and create an identical one that only uses IPv4. Change to the APN that got created. Copy the following and rename the file to "whatever.sh".

    iptables -t filter -F FORWARD
    iptables -t nat -F POSTROUTING
    iptables -t filter -I FORWARD -j ACCEPT
    iptables -t nat -I POSTROUTING -j MASQUERADE
ip rule add from 192.168.43.0/24 lookup 61
ip route add default dev tun0 scope link table 61
ip route add 192.168.43.0/24 dev wlan0 scope link table 61
ip route add broadcast 255.255.255.255 dev wlan0 scope link table 61

Download SManager from the play store. Connect to your VPN and open SManager. With SManager navigate to the .sh file you created. Click the "SU" icon then click run.

You should be able to tether to your hearts content if what works for a Note 4 works for your phone.

Guys! the mlb promo for this year include all of games live stream. This is different from previous years. Single pass is worth $109 each and you are entitled to one promo per line. I cant believe none of you are paying attention to it. This will end in just few days.

i tried it and it doesn't work on grandfathered plans. it's supposed to work on simple choice only.

Yea I could not get it to work either.
Well it does work on tablet lines though.

I mean it should work on grandfathered plans as well when you consider it works just fine on 200mb free data plans. I see tons of people who have nothing but the 200mb free plan are taking advantage of this promo. Tmobile also says you just have to be current customer. I see why we shouldnt get this when those who pay no money to t-mobile are getting this $110 season pass for free. Besides mlb promo worked just fine on GF plans in previous years

I have a grandfathered plan with five voice lines and it didn't work on any of them, so I opened a $0 tablet line with 200mb free data and signed up on that.

Is it hard to open a $0 tablet line to get the 200mb of free data?

It shouldn't be. All you need is a voice plan.

I could be wrong but didn't someone mention that adding a tablet plan to a line triggered a data cap on that line?

You can get a prepaid SIM and activate a 200 mb plan and not need any other account at all.

Yeah unfortunately, they don't let you have both. At least you still have unlimited data for a good price.
