What is your affiliation or do you just have passing fancy in promoting their agenda? Actually no, it's not a good thing and here's why. If memory serves, I believe Mariposa111 was still under contract and paying the (free phone subsidies) subsidized pricing rate for their plan before they (voluntarily?) migrated to Simple Choice with waiver of ETF's. Most people on grandfathered plans would be paying the non-subsidized price with the Bridge to Value discount as long as they are out of contract. This is perfectly fair since we were previously paying the higher base price for subsidized phones but no longer have that option.

So if they had decided to stay with their grandfathered plan, once the contract ended the pricing with Bridge To Value would have been
Family Time Basic x00 minutes (2 lines) $39.99
    Unlimited Family Messaging $ 9.99
PAU (unlimited since 2014) $10.00 ($5 per line)
Will they still give Preferred pricing/BTV discounts to people ending contracts anymore, it decreases the MRC for those accounts right?

I see it offered every time I do a mock upgrade @my.t-mobile.com. Yes it does indeed reduce monthly rate but it's only available to family plans. Also, it was added back onto my account after I had them switch me from Simple Choice back to my grandfathered FT 600 plan. The BTV thread is an excellent source to learn about it. It must be read to fully understand how it works and how to have it added to the account because each account is different. http://www.howardforums.com/showthre...e-BTV-Discount

I've been with T-Mobile since February of 2005.
OK I have ft nw 500 39.99 btv, 5 aal x3, 2 lines with 5 pau btv & 3 lines with 5.99 tzones. I have been with tmo since 07 or 08. Wouldn't it have been better if u had them switch u to 49.99 select choice unlimited tt and then 20 unlimited data on each line it would save u like 10 a month? Please correct me if im wrong thanks. I sure hope me and no one else gets that darn post card.

Thanks, I've been on FT600 BTV for a while and agree it a great offering. I was wondering if its still available to people who didn't have it ever before. Would T-mobile offer it to GF customers who were paying $40 or more than BTV prices and reduce their MRC, or would they just claim it's not a feature available anymore to someone trying to newly switch. The $40 or so reduction in MRC is taking a big hit for them.

@archerian: The only way to know if they will add it is for someone to try. I think everyone has been so distracted with the forced-migration hanging over our heads that no one has thought to ask. It would be worth the effort if someone was willing to try. The website only offers stock data plans starting with 5GB for a BTV discounted price of $15 (normally $30).
So you would have to call in to Loyalty to find out if the BTV PAU could be added. It usually takes a supervisor to authorize it. The Loyalty dept. will say they will add it to account within 24/48 or 72 hours and "you should receive a text" but they never do it for some reason. Once the quoted time elapses then you should call back. The authorization to add it should be on the account by that time. All they have to do at that point is add it.

Well i was switched by fellow in president office back in sept to perferred ft 500 nw 39.99 btv i was on myfaves 1800 84.99 btv for a couple of years and before that i had ft 1000 69.99 when i signed up. I had emailed john legere saying that i was paying more for rate plan than new customers and i wanted my old ft 1000 69.99 rate plan back. Well the fellow from president office was really nice and hook me up with a even better rate plan since he said all calling would be unlimited anyways so he wanted me to save the most money i could. He even hook me up with free lte signal booster even tho i already had the free router. Plus gave me 10 loyalty discount for 6 months. I then also added 5 pau btv on 2 lines that did not have any data, my 3 other lines have had 5.99 t zones for years and figured its better for those to keep t zones since i sometimes tether or use lots of data. I wonder if any of this is the reason i have not gotten a post card. Well i guess im just gonna ride it out like everyone else and see what happens. Thanks.

Well i just tried the upgrade thing and i selected a cheap 29.99 android to upgrade a line with the 5 pau btv and it looks like it will let me upgrade and keep current plan and services plus it even adds 5 more btv discount off my 500 ft nw btv 15 off verus 10 so i thinking about buying a new or refurbished phone by doing online upgrade to get extra kicker with 5 off. My son would like a android phone anyways and if i can get one from 30-70 and then get 5 more off bill each month its just a added bonus then. I also wonder if i can do this with all 5 of my lines even the 3 with 5.99 t zones. Here is some screen shots from phone. Ill do a better one from my tablet or laptop later. Thanks. Well I guess your pictures answered my question. Is that the Android version of MyAccount? I don't get the option to upgrade or add a line on the Windows Phone version of MyAccount even though I'm the primary. The full website on my computer forces me to change data plans. I was told by sales that they could upgrade my phone without changing the data if I called in but it's good to know that we can upgrade or add a line without having to switch data plans online. Thanks for the heads up.

Well i went from android my tmobile app and clicked on link to go to full tmo website. Guess ill try later using tablet or laptop to see if i get same results i also gonna test one line with 5.99 tzones to see if it trys to make me switch data plans. I also wonder if i called tmo loyalty retentions dept if they could offer better deals on phones and still get the extra 5 off or maybe its a online deal for btv extra discount. I seen they had deals on phones back in aug according to slickdeals. [URL][ http://slickdeals.net/share/android_app/t/7125126 URL]

They are not going to switch you to something cheap, they could switch him to the $60 select choice plan

You see I have learned by experience that there is no such thing as incapable agent at T-mobile.

Regardless of their position, as long as they are both willing and knowledgeable then they always find a way.
You wont believe how creative solution these come up with if you let them.

free router, and lte booster was offe offered for free when I already had gen2 booster. Of coarse old booster had to be returned but many could not even get either router or the booster.

Adding tzones on a brand new line was done by account specialist.

No need to contact the presidential office to resolve an issue.

I can 100% vouch for this as well.
I am looking to take over a former *Centennial Wireless* Account that was converted to *VERIZON*. Preferably one with a data card, but I won't discriminate if it's a voice plan with a dumbphone/smartphone/whatever. If it's a former Centennial Account and is now a VERIZON account, but still has the Centennial Plan on it, then I AM INTERESTED!

You are mostly correct. I was under the contract I signed in October of 2013. I was paying the full $20 per line for PAU, and my 2 phones were subsidized. I was force-migrated to Simple Choice on 12/11/14. When I pointed out that I was given less than the postcard (sent in Spanish, a language I don't speak enough to do business in) promised. I knew what the card said, based on 2 coworkers translating it for me. I ended up tying up 2 CSRs and an Account Specialist, discussing my botched migration and what could be done about it.

Had T-Mobile just left me alone, they'd be getting the same $100 they always have and I'd not have cost them 3 people's time over the messed-up migration (by the Account Specialist's admission). Even if I'd gone with BTV, T-Mobile still would have made money off me with the purchase of 2 phones, keeping things around $100 per month. I never wanted Simple Choice. With unlimited everything (after No Overages), I had everything I ever wanted or needed. T-Mobile put a lot of effort and expense into migrating me for no real gain on their part.

Unfortunately, I have found tons of "incapable agents". It took me at least 10 days a few years ago calling in every day to get my account fixed after a loyalty person promised me what they couldn't deliver. Each day over an hour on the phone talking to loyalty to just get back to what I started with. Each rep promising they would fix it and get back to me. They didn't follow up either. 5 months later took another 3 days of long talks to get one acct fixed that I found out was still messed up.

I have been to the point person for others to deal with t-mobile as well. They get frustrated and I call in with them to get their accounts straightened out.

Yes, I know you said "willing and knowledgeable", but I have run into far to many that aren't either. Knowledgeable being the worst. Then lacking the knowledge to know, they don't know they mess things up worse. Like I have said many times you talk to 5 reps you will get 7 answers. Almost all have tried to be helpful...

having been in the industry for years and years, I will tell you that the reps you speak have a certain amount of time to service your calls and they will most of the time tell you what they know. Most of the time they have probably about 3 minutes or theirs about to resolve any issue. And if you do not believe time the call and you will see for yourself. They will if the time goes past that, they will send you to retension to try resolve your issues.

With that being said, bear this in mind, if a company is not making money off of you due to the fact you have a stale plan or outdated plan they will try to keep you or convince you to take a more modern day plan or they will just dump you which they really do not want to do due to "churn". You can talk to a superior who will just talk to but they have limited resources at their disposal and when they transfer to retension even they have just so many resources at what they can use. The old plans are eliminated from being used most of the time.

I am at the stage of my life where getting pissed off or getting stress is not worth it. If you are not happy why keep fighting and just go else where. I am going with consumer celluar for my needs and forgetting T mobile. You do have choices in this matter.
