LTE in Inland Southern California Deserts. When?

Just curious if this is going to happen this year? AT&T bumped up their LTE coverage goal to 270 million POPS so that's a lot more people to cover by years end.

Any local engineers have any data?

I'm curious too. The other half of Santa Clarita through Lancaster still needs lighting up, as well as those on i-15 and i-10. Similarly, places like Coachella valley and those up the 101 like San Luis Obispo/Paso Robles are to be d one

Thanks. The 15 FWY north has been fickle the past few weeks. I've gone through stretches of full 4G signal but data doesn't work then I'll see a 1/4 stretch of LTE but again data doesn't work. Only voice.

I figure they are doing something.

I just wanted to point out that I stated it "should" happen this year. Please don't hold it against me if I am wrong. My info is from a great source, but things can happen that could delay the launch.

I just had to throw this disclaimer out there! I'm sure you understand!

Haha I'd never hold you to it.

Is it normal for data services to be turned off completely in some areas during LTE build outs? Full faux G signal but no internet connection?

No, that isn't normal at all. Sounds like an issue at the serving site. I would recommend calling into Customer Care and have them open a trouble ticket on it. That shouldn't be happening.
