You need to find out first what power the unit has. It may not be able to ring more then 2 phones on a line.

If they're using phones like a cordless one that have their own power source, that limitation won't matter.

Has anyone tried porting a land line over that isn't "yours"? I don't live with my parents and would love to port them over for $10 a month (they aren't Fido customers).

    LOL
Fido was the first in the industry to port numbers in .
    They are a CLEC
I suggest you ask them first before you get a Referral Credit!

    It might be possible:

Following the new activation with a temporary Fido number, you can request to change the Subscriber name & address to your father/mother's name/address.

Finally you proceed with the Porting Request... ETA, 5 business days.

Did they adjust the monthly price to $10 tho? The one month free is nice but after that you'd be at $25 still, so hoping hey also adjusted the price.
My Plans (Rogers): Biz Share Flex $80 (unlim stuff w 4gig) + $35 second line.
