    Interesting. A traditional wireless broadband stick essentially operated as a very fast modem. The PC will actually feed the stick an AT modem command or two, and start up a ppp session, essentially behaving like a very fast dialup modem as far as the pc is concerned. The 341u runs a wireless access point, I suppose it just uses the USB for power and the computer actually connects to the stick over wifi.

    That model would be a solution for battery life concerns with MiFi devices and chargers to carry for it.

    Just got the NETGEAR Zing Mobile Hotspot yesterday and works great in Bandera, Tx . Would sure like to know about external antenna or docking station.

    There is a Dock/Antenna for it, unable to find a wired external antenna only as of yet.
