PC Mobile going postpaid w/ Telus

    http://mobilesyrup.com/2013/05/27/pc...ones-june-5th/

Anyone saw this? Just waiting to see if if they will move the prepaid service over to Telus also soon, or stay with Bell?

Well that's news! Thanks for posting. I hope that those of us with unlimited data won't be forced to update to current offerings.

They were never really too competitive, but they were not too bad for a while, before the new AWS entrants, competing w/ Speakout Wireless and Petro Canada (which ironically some members like to refer to both as PC, and you don't know if they are talking about President's Choice or Petro Canada, plus both offer prepaid services!!!).

Their main advantage back then is the Bell network which was superior in coverage in Ontario (may be even now), as the other 2 runs on Rogers. But that's about it.

I still have a few Nokia 6285i or is it 6585i that are CDMA phones on Bell / PC Mobile, saving for those oh so remote Ontario locations should I ever need it.

They've officially launched now and they seem to have tweaked their offerings and added more minutes and data. I have to say it's not that bad. Also their subsidies are reasonable, it's a happy medium between paying a lot upfront with Virgin/Koodo/Fido for premium devices or a lot monthly with Bell/Telus/Rogers.

They also give customers the option to opt in or out of data and voice overages, which is practically unheard of for postpaid services, so I'm sure that will appeal to some consumers.
