    Airave in Canada?

Can one use the airave in Canada? I would get service at my parents house as well as Internet.

How fast is 3G? Their wifi is rather weak throughout the house (old and crappy router, plus they lost the antenna) but its the ISP modem/router.

Nope -- the Airave can only be used in places that Sprint has licenses. It operates on the same frequency that the cell phone networks do, so it has to be able to sync up via GPS and pick the right frequencies that Sprint is using in that area.

Since Sprint doesn't have spectrum in Canada, the Airave would be walking on top of a Canadian carrier and interfering.

I would pick up a used router somewhere to give to your parents and then use some kind of VoIP app like GrooveIP synced with a Google Voice number.
