Anyone here have the Sierra Wireless AirCard® 763S 4G LTE Mobile Hotspot?

Can someone tell me if there are any Telus branding on the device itself or just the Telus logo showing up when booting up the device? I'm on Rogers and I really want to buy this, unlock it, and use it with Rogers. I don't want to buy the Rogers version just because of the branding on the exterior of the device. I'm planning to buy it off contract regardless of the carrier anyways since I don't want to sign another contract just for this device.

Telus phones typically also have no carrier branding on them; I'd imagine this is the same.

Cool! That is good to know. I suppose I'll get the Bell version if it's cheaper than Telus' version?

    Sgt_Strider,

You understand this Sierra Wireless AC763S mobile hotspot does not support UMTS/HSPA+ in the AWS band but just for the LTE? If you intend to use it with T-Mobile in the US, it will not work in those markets where PCS spectrum not reframing for UMTS/HSPA+ i.e. UMTS Band II (1900).

    Exclamation Not so fast...

    cedqc418,

NOT the case with my experience: an unlocked AC763S loaded with the Bell firmware and a TELUS UICC...

As you can see below, I have got DC-HSPA+ in the UMTS Band II (1900) on TELUS...

    cedqc418,

    You are welcome.

To me, DC-HSPA+ sounds good on paper but often performs poorly with relatively high latency. When there is reliable LTE coverage, it will become irrelevant!

The AirCard 763S Mobile Hotspot at Telus has Sierra Wireless branding on it.

How is everyone liking the device overall?

This device work great ( i use a bell unlocked version on great data plan with telus like my internet connection ... ) between 50-60 GB per month and never a single reboot or disconnection ! ... not come too hot ... multiple network ( hspa dc-hspa lte ... )... great signal... and love where the antenna plug is ... i never buy a huawei device or aircard for sure ! i use on my car for my work an old novatel wireless aircard ... not have the same speed but have only pay 10 $ on ebay and just use 2-3 GB per month ... if one day i can buy a sierra 763s for low price ... for sure i buy another one...
