Nashville and Lawrenceburg, TN (WTF?) got AT&T 4G LTE.

Interesting that if the coverage area is large at all there will be upgrades from EDGE to LTE directly.

Still an oddball choice for LTE expansion though.
Have you read the forum rules lately?

Why do you say that? Nashville is a pretty large city, and then you have the major Country Music stuff there too.

I wasn't saying WTF about Nashville. Lord knows they need LTE. I'm talking about Lawrenceburg. There's just not a lot there. Heck it was on EDGE until last year! Now they get LTE?!?

    What's up with that anyway?

Oh, okay. I'd agree on Lawrenceburg.

I'm going to take a wild guess and say that maybe it was an attempt to counter Verizon which launched LTE for Florence, AL which is around 40 miles away. Why they didn't just put it in Alabama which is a bigger area? because they only have 6 Mhz to work with there while Lawrenceburg has 30 Mhz. I used to live in the area. The are kind of connected in the sense that it's not uncommon for people there to drive to Florence, and the surrounding towns to stores and such but otherwise it's reaching to say its the same market.

Does anyone have any idea of possible LTE launches in Columbus, OH? Verizon launched here (and the other big cities in OH), but AT&T seems to have skipped it and just did Cleveland, Akron, etc. It's really weird. I was going to switch to V, but they screwed themselves with their new plans.

I do not understand why At&t is launching 4g LTE when they haven't even completed their 3g upgrade. All the area I travel already have VVerizon LTE and have had evdo3g for years and At&t keep spluggin away on edge??? At&t show western NC some love! We pay our bills too!!

Here's a couple snips from the ct citing counsel website all towns & cities in between north haven & Enfield ct. have lte permits. These are examples form 3 of them. Name: Capture 1.PNG

I sure wish they'd move their LTE north and east of the Bay Area, the rest of NorCal would like it too

Looks like you can add Wichita, KS to the list of markets launching soon. Color me surprised, it took AT&T forever to launch 3G here, one of the last major metro areas in the country after the iPhone 3G launched. Unfortunately I don't have an LTE phone right now, as I didn't think in my wildest dreams LTE would beat the iPhone 5 to Wichita so I can't test speeds or coverage. I have a few friends letting me know their phones are connected to LTE though. One who is a cell phone rep, told me a person from AT&T informed her AT&T would have a much larger LTE coverage area than Verizon (in this market) at launch. That's something to be hopeful for, as Verizon's initial LTE launch was no slouch in coverage. I drove around to a few AT&T sites, and loe and behold, there is a new panel that I hadn't noticed before. Really I am kicking myself for not noticing it earlier, this launch completely crept up on me.

Saw the whole thing. Process took about 2-3 days. Now, when can I expect LTE goodness?
