Unhappy Locked out of Samsung Omnia 2 Win 6.5

Suddenly, my unlock pin isn't' recognized! I am locked out of my phone. After trying a few time, it gives me my hint, then will do a count down before I can try anything else. Verizon store, no help, Samsung chat, no real help. Tried 0000, 1234 and last four digits of my phone number.

Thank goodness I've got most everything on the removable disk, but there are still somethings I'd like to get off of there.

Anyone have any suggestions? Who to contact? I'm hoping someone here will have a suggestion.

    Thanks.

Tough position to be in. I've had this happen before, but it was my fault because I was doing crazy stuff to my phone. Try the usual sot reset, but don't get your hopes up too much.

Hard reset might be your only option here. BUT do you have your memory card encrypted by the phone? If so, a hard reset will cause you to lose everything since the encryption key is kinda like a hash of your phone's serial number and your lock code.
How is it that we give up houses, businesses and bank accounts when we want a divorce but can't part with a couple of hundred bucks to find cellphone bliss?

DP, I don't have it encrypted so I'm good there. I can't get it to do a hard reset. I've tryed what I found online, about holding the volume and unlock at the same time, then the call and end buttons together. I got nothing.

I see others say there was a reset button you press before that under the battery or by the removable disk, but I just don't see it anywhere. You press with the stylus.

Any idea where that reset button is?

I don't have an Omnia 2, sorry. But there has to be a reset button there.

Have you pulled the battery to soft reset the phone yet?

If you have your phone manual, check that. I quickly found

Be sure you are following steps to hard reset an Omnia 2, and not the original Omnia.

Let me know if you get it or not.

One tip I picked up in hard resetting my Touch Pro 2s are even though it says press the buttons after you press the soft reset button, I have had better luck holding down the buttons, then pressing the soft reset button with the stylus holding it in my mouth. I ran out of hands, but it works much better.

My suggestion is to first hold the 3 buttons down, then with the stylus secured between your lips, press the soft reset button until the "format" screen comes up. Release the buttons, then press whatever it says to format.

Thanks DP, I will try the verizon one. The ehow one, I'd seen, but the Omnia 2 doesn't have a sim card so I was confused and couldn't find the place to push the rest button. The picture in the verizon one helps. That one is great. I will give it a try and get back to you.

Thank you SO much for your tips.

THANK YOU! The Verizon one did the trick. All the other how too I found didn't work for the Verizon version. That reset button, certainly doesn't look like a button to push in. More of a rectangular indention like where the prongs for the cover fit in. The pictures really helped. All rest now, so at least it is functional again. Thanks for all your help.
