4G LTE Nokia Lumia 800 On The Way?

    According to CNET:

The Finnish handset vendor, eager for a comeback, is testing a 4G LTE version of its Lumia 800 smartphone, CNET has learned. That's despite the fact that the Windows Phone operating system powering the Lumia doesn't yet officially support LTE.

The lack of LTE support has been seen as a critical issue for the U.S. carriers, which are increasingly focusing on 4G devices and services. As a result, anyone supporting Windows Phone, including Nokia, faces hurdles getting approval. But Nokia has been running a 4G LTE version of the Lumia 800 in an effort to get the ball rolling on carrier approval, according to several people familiar with the situation.

It would be great to see one of these on VZW.

Along with tethering and I'd give up my iPhone in a heartbeat.

    Make a version for 4G on T-Mobile & I'm sold NOW!

    *please please please*
How is it that we give up houses, businesses and bank accounts when we want a divorce but can't part with a couple of hundred bucks to find cellphone bliss?

^^ Saw that thread. I'm really looking for a big speed upgrade from my Boost/Sprint Evdo Windows Mobile device. I'm trying to go all in, Windows phone at 21 or 42 mbps, that way I won't be wavering on a "slow data" Windows phone back to Windows Mobile or *gasp* a 21 or 42 Android *shudders*.

I've really been contemplating a move to the $30 Tmobile 5gig plan, but I want to at least get a 21 mbps phone. I'm definitely limited in that regard with Windows, while Android has good & cheap options there. Hopefully WP7 will quickly catch up with data speeds.

If I'm going to spend near $200 for a phone, I want as much speed as I can get. 14.4 on WP7 or 21/42 with Android? I have no desire to use Android, just the desire of speed.
