Sooner or later, somebody is going to take it as a challenge to use 1 TB (1024 GB)...

I've yet to use 1GB but it could be because I've only had a smartphone for 3 weeks and the phone in question is a Palm Pixi Plus

... and, invariably, what will happen is that you'll be introduced to new apps and gradually use increasing amounts of data. Friends and colleagues with smartphones... and what you read about online... will almost guarantee that...

Even so, it doesn't compare to my Sprint Overdrive's usage. When I lived at my house that got Sprint's 4G service, I was using roughly 50GB per day.
Your actually only half way through your billing cycle and your at 334GB!!! and you have sprint VZW, at&t and you still manage to get a lot of usage on all three. im guessing you have a wired connection too. I can only imagine on what do with it.
    Current carrier: Sprint (11/01/2017)
    Previous carriers: T-mobile & Verizon

I just want to know how he keeps his Hotspot going for that long... If I run the Hotspot too long with the phone plugged in, I get the 'battery too hot' indicator and charging stops... and without a charger attached, the Hotspot works for a few hours.

Actually, I said hotspot but that was really a misstatement. I use the VZW USB tethering function on the Droid Charge most of the time. Without WiFi on, it doesn't have a problem (unless I am really, really using it hard, and then it actually drains the battery faster than it will charge off a laptop).

    Verizon's 4G network.

I live in California, not New York. I actually dislike New York.

I am...when I use a tower that has anybody else on it. The good part about virtually my entire county using AT&T (and some on Sprint) is that I just might be the only VZW LTE user within a mile or two most of the time

not sure if it matters I think he has the droid charge, maybe tbolt runs hotter. I do have a charge and the battery gets warm not hot.

Ok... That makes sense. I was wondering how you did it.

Note to Self: Get away from the major cities of the northeast. If I tried that usage in the NYC or Philly markets, I would expect a non-stop sequence of throttling. Your usage certainly indicates the stability of the network... and the benefits of having a grandfathered data plan.

This month was at just over 10GB. I've been going nuts with the wifi tether since I got the unlimited hotspot for $30. Normally I am at around 3-5GB but it seems that my usage is changing.

Internet has been failing at home a lot for me. Speed is horrific. My mom controls which ISP we have and she loves them. I also got netflix for my Thunderbolt. How anyone can have a tiered plan, I don't know.

    Sent from my VZW Thunderbolt.
