$10 Data Bundle - is 75MB too low for even a basic phone?

    $10 Data Bundle

Got this offer in the July newsletter. I have an old beater VX8350 flip for M-F (I work in a vehicle repair shop) and a Kin TwoM for weekends that I use on WiFi only. Would I eat 75MB really fast if I surf the web on either device?

On the lg, I think 75mb should be fine unless you play on the phone 24x7... And even then, I'm not so sure that you would exceed it.

although, post july 7th vz nav uses chargable data and id bet that would easily exceed 75mb.

I don't know about the kin since I don't know if it has a full html browser

You will be fine with that plan. From using in the past the Voyager, enV Touch, and Alias 2, the most I've ever used was 23MB. You should be fine!

The Kin does have a full HTML browser. Based on some version of IE6, according to Kayak.com (that won't let me on... )

How much data does a phone eat for a typical webpage - just as much as a computer?

Nevertheless, I think it's extremely lame that on top of a $10 fee for use of a supposed premium product, your data meter is also ticking away.

Oh well. It doesn't directly affect me, but it's still galling to see the mega-huge corporations pile on the nickels and dimes for themselves.

As if no other companies nickel and dime us? Banks and oil companies come to mind. Welcome to the world of capitalism.
