Upcoming Dual-Core Android Phones with Physical QWERTY Keyboards

I've been following Droid-Life, Phandroid, AndroidCentral, BGR, etc. pretty closely and so far, the only upcoming dual-core Android phone with a physical QWERTY keyboard I've heard mentioned (on any carrier, from any manufacturer) is the Droid 3.

Have you heard of any others?

I'm just curious whether anyone on HowardForums might have access to any info that hasn't been circulated on the other popular phone blogs...

Very interested in this as well! Been contemplating the Desire Z but with all the new dual-core and faster phones coming out, it's hard to decide whether to wait or grab the Z...

I wasn't aware that Droid 3 will be coming out. Geez I'm too focused with SE right now with all their new phone releases, in fact I already got a Xperia Play on timtechs over a week ago and I'm really enjoying it. But I'm definitely going to read about the upcoming Droid 3

Droid 2 Global has it too. HTC Merge. Samsung Replenish.

Best on the market now is the T-mo G2.

The Dell Hancock sounds interesting. I hadn't heard about that before.

I'm curious whether HTC will be releasing any dual-core Android phones with physical keyboards, since physical keyboards are their forte and they certainly know how to make dual-core phones.

Droid-Life just reported a rumored quad-core Android phone with a physical keyboard named the Motorola Jet scheduled for unveiling and/or release in Q1 2012.

Phandroid has just posted a user agent file from the HTC Doubleshot, a rumored HTC phone with a dual-core 1.2 GHz Snapdragon and a physical QWERTY keyboard, running Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) and equipped with an 8 MP camera.

The Doubleshot a.k.a. My Touch 4G Slide is looking very nice based on these photos from TmoNews. Looks like it's going to be basically an HTC Sensation with a physical keyboard.

i think the G2/Vision is a strong contender for best Android QWERTY smartphone of 2011.

G2 did come to mind, but it's been out for a while. Engadget reviewed it in Oct 2010, which makes it a little long in tooth. The international GSM version of Verizon's Droid series, the Motorola XT(xxxx) ( I forget the model number) would also be a contender, but the reviews have been mixed. With everyone trying to clone the iPhone, it seems keyboards have been relegated to the domain of RIM.

    What is out there now?

Definitely the MyTouch 4G Slide, arguably the best one in the moment. And the Droid 3, also arguably the best one in the moment. Its HTC vs. Motorola here.

The latest one appears to be with AT&T is called the Samsung Captivate Glyde. Is it a Galaxy S2 variant? I would say its very close to being one, but with a 4" Super AMOLED screen, not the S Amoled Plus kind used in the Galaxy S2, but like the last generation Galaxy S. But it does use the dual core 1GHz Tegra2 with the Gingerbread OS with a hefty 1GB of RAM.

This nice phone is probably going to be eclipsed by the iPhone 4S, the AT&T Galaxy S2 and the new Atrix 2 when it comes to publicity and mindshare but I think the Glyde is a very decent slider qwerty phone.

Verizon just announced the Samsung Stratosphere but unlike the Captivate Glyde, this is a single core phone. It won't be slow though, given the OS is Gingerbread.
