Ask the seller what the code is. Or use the default code which should be 0000

Hello everyone. I'm new to this forum and also to Japanese phones, and would like some assistance, if possible.
I recently purchased a P-04A and it gives me this screen:
Personal Data is temporarily unlocked? If it's unlocked, why is it asking for a code? lol The code limit is 8 digits. It seems to be able to make/receive calls fine with a hypersim, but I would like to use the phonebook, camera, etc, if possible.
I apologize in advance if I'm asking a wrong question/section. Please help.

It's all good (^_^)

Everyone's on their own for hypersims. I'm out har har har har har~~~~
I just tried 0000 and it didn't work. I will try asking the seller, but somehow I get the feeling that he won't know since I bought it for around $50 and he clearly stated in his Ebay description that he doesn't know much about the phone besides that it does indeed work. Thanks for your reply, Ion.
start guessing from 0000 to 9999
Working on it, and currently up to 1000. lol. I really hope it's not set higher than 5 digits. Thanks for your reply guys. I guess the only way is to slowly chip away at every combination possible. Don't know much about imported phones and methods but I'm interested in hearing any other suggestion, if there is any.
If you ever decide to get rid of it, I'll take it off your hands. My dad is interested in that phone bc of its thin-ness.
I have a habit of taking in orphaned panasonic keitais, hahah. (nope, never did get that 920p working again yangj)

whats wrong with thicker phones???? i loved the sh906i but meh, sometimes it would feel like i had a bag of coins in my pocket![]()
I'm kind of saddened that my first experience with keitai had to turn out this way but, at the same time, I'm also glad that I only spent $50 to break my cherry. At least I somewhat know what to expect now and might even consider finding a different keitai with at least some of the simple features available - camera, phonebook, etc.
Not sure if anyone would be interested in trading or buying it, but that's another option, I guess. At the very least donate it for free. But first, I will try different combinations as high as I can tolerate it; curently at 2000 but I can't really see myself attempting much beyond the 5 digit mark.![]()
most likely, it has a 4 digit code, zerox678 ended up getting one with one passed 9999, not sure what he did in his case. Id be tempted to give it a shot, since I have a few phones around I might be willing to trade.
Can you mess around with the menus and media?
I can navigate through the menus and stuff but the only thing I can access without the code seem to be display/sound options (ringtone, wallpaper, icons, lighting, etc), and calculator (gee, thanks). That and calling/receiving.
I'm crossing my fingers for 9999 and down, but I will definitely let you guys know when I am ready to raise my white flag and go from there. Thanks guys.
Yamanote, if I see a working p04A or p09A I'll let you know![]()
