Can a Bell CDMA or HSPA Phone Be Used With Solo Mobile?

    Hey,

Wanted to know if I could use a bell phone on the solo network?

Bold 9700 or maybe Tour 9630.

    Any help is appreciated.

    Thanks

    CDMA no...

I was asking about this today with regards to HSPA devices and the answer was "yes but it needs a Solo sim card" and from asking around Solo sim cards are rarely stocked by dealers as Solo doesn't actually sell any HSPA devices yet...

So Yes to HSPA but it might be hard to find a sim card...

Really? I was told solo doesn't have sim cards. That is interesting.

    Wirelessly posted (Blackberry Curve 8330: BlackBerry9700/5.0.0.862 Profile/MIDP-2.1 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/331)

Sim cards are easier to order than find in stores. Bell cdma technically works its a business rule that prevents you from using phone.
It is sad I need to state the obvious but some people just don't get it. Any posts I make are my own OPINIONS and in no way represent the views of my employer

I went to Bell store yesterday,
I tried out a Samsung Impact (bell) with a solo SIM,
It didnt work, did you have to unlock your samsung impact?

Just learned that some plans are not available on HSPA phones / Solo SIM card. The Unlimited Talk $25. is one of them. So HSPA phone is not compatible with all Solo services.
