    N9 with MeeGo Spotted

I just saw this on Engadget:

Looks pretty cool. I wonder what the hardware specs are like.

At least this appears to have a removable battery!

Still don't understand why the N8 is going down the Crapple battery route...

Sexay. Love the look. Disappointed Nokia listened to the spacebar whiners, though. Like it on the right for both N97 and N900.

I also prefer the space bar on the right. At first, I was skeptical, but I stand by it. Glad they made it triple wide, gonna be hard to reach with a something sporting a 4" screen.

is this meego? can't really tell
also, sad to see no xenon flash. i guess xenon is only meant for the 1 "imaging device" they have in their lineup per year

Yeah, I was disappointed to see those dual LED's. Where's the true Flagship-with-everything-and-the-kitchen-sink-ueber-device? Looks like 1320 mAh battery. Was hoping for 1500+ but maybe the aftermarket will meet that demand (or a Nokia optional battery).

I really want physical menu/call/end buttons on the front face. They could be small, but want a dedicated button for the phone "app" that I can use in portrait with the keyboard closed.

Hoping that 64+ GB of storage and at least 8mp cam with those dual LEDs and wireless-N and I can forgive the negatives.

Well I have my Handycam for that.

I am aiming for convergence and to replace my iPod classic, my point and shoot, and my cell phone/pda in one device. So far, the N97 still accomplishes that best with N900 a close runner up (messaging/phone functionality is still superior on N97 IMO, though the N900 rapes it at everything else, of course).

Am I the only guy that wishes nokia had held off on the new naming scheme for awhile? N8 should have been the N98 and N9 should be the N99. THEN start over with NX(-XX)

This will probably be my next phone depending on what HTC pushes out this year.

So far good. Thankfully Nokia kept the same all aluminium build that's seen already in N8 and "E7".
Yet to see the definite Harmattan-Meego UI and complete spec list. Hopefully for once we see some positive surprises.

I'm definitely excited for this. Might wait for the first update to release until I purchase or just get it upon release. I really like my n900 though and don't mind holding onto it for a while.

I will have a new dslr for all my video/photo needs. But a device that shoots good 720p (or even 1080) would be nice. Nokia tends to do well with their cameras so I'm sure they would do something to make their 720p as good as any other. And I'll probably be picking up an ipod touch to use in the car (have yet to find a device that interfaces with the in dash unit to allow control better than ipods unfortunately).

So right now, it will be between this and the SE android 3.0 psp phone. Glad to see why I won't be doing too much switching in the coming year like I have in the past haha.

Looks fantastic. let's hope the specs and software are good too, because this is probably the only phone i'll sell my nexus one for.

Looks alright, but too much Mac Pro look alike lol, and also too much space unused on the sides. At least we can confirm that:
    - Dual LED flash
    - 4"? screen
    - LED notification
    - 4 row QWERTY
-~15mm thick since it looks like the N8 with QWERTY lol
    - 1320mAh battery
    - MeeGo OS, although people are saying that it's not really running MeeGo core but Maemo core...

    phone looks fantastic!

Ofcourse...with that said, i would have liked a dedicated top row of number buttons (miss that from my E70) even if the current buttons were made a bit smaller. I mean..they're huge now!
