I'm not sure what the problem is since Google Sync is working fine on my Blackberry Bold 9700.

It syncs both my calendar (both ways) as well as my contacts (both ways).

i gave up with google sync and the BIS contact sync after getting duplicates, triples, and even quads in some cases. In addition to having several random contacts flipped emails/info with random other ones...

I've seen the same thing happen. A full reboot of the phone (turn off, remove battery, reinsert battery, then turn back on) fixed it.

Even with a reboot it still duplicates contacts for me. Using it with a recently wiped Blackberry also does the same thing. Google Sync: Contacts fails on my 9700.

I had problems with duplicates when I was using Google sync with my blackberry 8530 (with Virgin Mobile). I don't think the problem was Google Sync, but the fact that I was also syncing with Yahoo. Since I eliminated the Yahoo Sync, I get no duplicates anymore. Google sync was the only way I could transfer my contacts from my Nokia E71 to my blackberry. I made a CSV file first, then imported the contacts to Gmail, then downloaded google sync on my blackberry 8530.
