    1. You need to root the phone.
    2. You need to enable side-loading applications.
    3. You need to side load an app that will allow you to back up and then 'rename' those files to something not recognized by Android.

There are tutorials on XDA forums.

Just as with other phones, there is more than one method. Usually the methods that require the least database editing (using a database editor) are the best way to go.

Try switching the cables around on the TV and see if that helps. Rumor has it that the video output on some cables might not be correct to color coding.

Did you pull down the notification bar after you get the USB symbol and then click on it? It will ask you to mount the drive. Do so and you will be able to see it on your computer.

Are you saying you can tether with a cable or wirelessly?

How can you be sure you aren't getting billed already?

Not doubting or challenging you, just curious...I am headed to pick up my captivate when I get off this afternoon.

Did AT&T have Samsung remove the FM radio altogether, or is it just software disabled? I really want to have this feature for certain occasions like the gym for the TVs or live sporting events that broadcast it in the stadium on FM.

I thought that I read that it did have the radio too, but I haven't seen anything else about it. I hope it is there and we can get to it.
    What's that smell?

You were able to get Kies to work? When I try it
I get the MTP application flashing back and forth on the phone and Kies won't see the phone.

Did you install the .NET framework from Microsoft first?
